HEY AUCTION WINNERS!!!

Just a note - if you ordered original art, please check your ebay feedback - if I've left you feedback, your order was shipped today. If I have NOT left you feedback, then I have not received payment from you yet, and your item will ship as soon as that occurs - thanks! I was reassured by the post office that all internation artwork should reach its destination before Christmas, for any international buyers that were concerned.

If you have made a paypal payment for artwork, and I have not left feedback for you, please contact me via Ebay - if you've mailed in a payment and you haven't been left feedback, I probably just haven't gotten it in the mail yet, and your artwork will ship as soon as I get it. Thanks guys!

Comic updates are on hold for the moment as I am currently in the process of relocating - I'm hoping to have everything moved over by this weekend. Thanks for your patience with the delays!

Old News:

That's all, folks. Thank you for reading!

If you're despondent over the lack of QoW, this news may cheer you - due to an overwhelmingly positive reader response, QoW will start again next Monday and re-run all the original strips, seven days a week, with commentary. That's right, if you so choose you'll get to read my babblings about what exactly went on with the strips, stuff that wasn't supposed to happen, ideas that were ditched, ideas that were never explored, the works. I realize it's not NEW strips, but I thought it would be fun to do while I work on putting out my next project. Speaking of the next project - I will be announcing it as soon as it's ready to go. Keep an eye on the website, or the LJ community, or the forum, as I'll be posting it all over the place once it's live.

For those looking for other strips to read, check out my links section, and also the Keenspot dropdown up in the corner has a ton of good reads on it as well.

Hi there! You are reading the Queen of Wands rapid-fire reruns, a seven-day a week run of QoW with commentary. Commentary on later strips will contain spoilers, so if you are a new reader and here for the first time, I suggest you take a trip to the beginning of the archives and give the comic a read-through spoiler-free before jumping into the commentary.
Originally aired 09/26/03: This comic served a two-fold purpose, #1 - The joke was just begging to be made. #2 - It established that yes, Angela is bi (or as she puts it 'loves everybody'). I kind of liked this way of introducing it - it wasn't really a huge deal, and it's not a huge deal to Angela, and it's not one of those 'HI I AM BI/GAY/SOME OTHER 'UNUSUAL' CHARACTER STEREOTYPE' moments, it's just two people having a conversation, which it should be. To those that emailed me asking about Zot, and there were a lot of you - I got Zot when I was still living in Grand Junction, before my roommates and I made the move to Denver. Zot and Orb came to Denver with us, Caleb stayed behind with a very nice family, as the thought of relocating a fully-functional (ie, not neutered, he was a stud cat at some point) high-strung vocal and neurotic siamese didn't sound like it would be a pleasant experience for either one of us - and I didn't really want to put the big guy through any unnecessary stress. Zot and Orb as stated came with us, and about a year after we moved out to Denver, Orb contracted some sort of mysterious illness that was never fully explained beyond the vet being blown away at seeing something like it in such a young cat (apparently whatever it was was something that was common in older and overweight felines - and other than what was wrong, Orb was completely healthy in every aspect.). The vet tried his hardest to save him, but was unable to do so, leaving us with just little Zot (who remained tiny, and is still a very small cat). When I decided to move to my current location, I was going to be moving in with roommates that #1 - lived in California, and left the doors and windows open all day because hey it gets HOT out here if you don't, and #2 - already had three fully-grown outdoor felines. Zot was an indoor cat, and aside from the few trips to the vet and the move to Denver hadn't really been outside at all, and she was also used to being a loner by this point. Couple that with the roommates being terribly attached to her, and I decided it would be best for her to leave her behind. I have been informed by my then-roommates that after a few months of her tearing around the house and wreaking havoc, they got another kitten to 'calm her down with some company'. Both cats now work in a joint effort to create as much chaos as possible, which is as it should be. For those wondering, this is Zot - one of the few pictures I have of her. Yes, I miss her, I miss her a lot, but I also know she's in very good hands.
